Supervision Sanctuary

Would you like to visit my Supervision Sanctuary?

I know the need for Coaches to have a safe and reflective place to go. It can feel lonely as you work to develop your business. Perhaps you have an Associate role with an organisation? Maybe you are an Internal Coach?

There may be days when you doubt your approach and wonder what was happening between you and your client. There may be days when you finish a zoom session or walk out of an organisation and want to celebrate with like minded souls. It could be that you are experiencing resistance from your client and feel confused about the relationship dynamic. You could be facing confidentiality challenges or ethically wondering how to do the "right" thing.

These moments can be exciting, scary, worrying, stressful (endless list)

Perhaps you ask yourself, "Does this happen to other coaches?"

Who creates and holds safe spaces for you?

I do.

I want to go Beyond the Edges of Supervision and create a haven that you want to return to. Space where you can be open and vulnerable and receive the support that you need. Yes. Coaches have needs to. x

I do not hold a clinical Supervision environment. I want you to be free and true to your own nature. That is why I have chosen the forest to be the metaphor of the Space that I hold.

Picture the scene as my invitation to join me and other light minded ones.

You arrive at the edge of the forest and see smoke rising gently. There are many paths that you can take. You step forward into the majestic trees with the birds welcoming you. There is fresh air. There is a breeze. You already feel held by nature. The criss cross paths are waving you forward and you follow the invite step by step. As you reach the clearing, you can see the fire at the centre.

A warm beating heart. The element of transformation.

I step forward into the grove of trees welcoming you to take your place around the fire. There are multiple places to sit. What is your way? A tartan blanket , a log, a camp chair a tree stump or the fresh ground?

Your way is welcome. Your journey to becoming and being a coach is welcome.

(I did not start my journey as an internal coach with my ICF accreditation. That became part of my growth and learning)

Seated, you realise others are arriving. Choosing how they want to be and where they would like to sit around the fire. Some known and unknown to you and all so ready to be in community. A tribe of open hearted learners. Willing to share, listen. support and voice their wisdom in service of our world.

My desire is really simple. I want you to feel safe so that you can express the vulnerable, difficult moments and the delights. I want us to learn from each other and the many ways and modalities that exist. I want to inspire coaches to be all they can be in the world moving to a post conventional perspective through the lens of the Learning Development Framework. The World needs kindness and challenge. Let's go up a gear together. Grow into the coaches that future leaders need.

The word "Sanctuary" has synonyms of haven, harbour, refuge, shelter, retreat, introspection. Which one resonates for you? Would you add a word?
