Within the group, the synchronicities and themes arrive as each person shares what they are ready to reflect on. Often the work resonates through each session and it is an energetic experience that I enjoy holding the space for. The ripples change us as the coach and reach into the work we do with our clients.
When doing my training , I remember talking about having Super Vision. To be able to notice the unseen and the unspoken as a Coach and the expansion this can allow in our client work.
The metaphor for me is Owl - known for her wisdom and keen eyesight. (Her Super-Vision). Noticing small things from her perch and swooping down to take a closer look. Moving silently and swiftly to the various viewpoints. Working in the darkness, she forages in the shadows to bring something to light. Little escapes her radar. And if it does. She is likely to notice next time.

When I qualified as a Supervisor in 2012 I wrote in my Supervision Philosophy about the supervisee bringing their question and putting it “on the table”.
My personal development since then as a Coach, Supervisor, EFT Practitioner and in the last 4 years a Visionary Shamanic Practitioner would now draw me to say:-
Join the Supervision Owl in the wild. We may sit on a log, by the fire or on a picnic blanket together. We shall breathe and observe and notice the seen and unseen of the energetic work that is coaching.
I’m ready to go beyond the Edges.

Supervision supports the Coach in the way that the Coach supports their clients.
Coaching can feel lonely at times. Having a safe space to discuss your client concerns is essential for your resilience and mental health.
I wish I’d known … I wish I had done XYZ - no one is perfect. When we are entangled with resonating client stories it is hard to see the woods for the trees. We can be moved from our coaching centre.
My role as Supervisor is to allow space to understand the resonance and in future sessions you will notice if those connections get triggered. Change starts with personal Discovery and Awareness.
We can explore these scenarios and notice where your personal story intrudes on your professional one.
